उपन्यास ‘इजोरिया’ मा बहुआयामिक कथा रहेको छ । परिवारका सदस्यबीच देखिएको प्रेम, घृणा र द्वन्द्वलाई लेखक भट्टराईले कथामा उतारेका छन् । यसअघिका सबै पुस्तकमा लगभग काठमाडौं केन्द्रित भएर कथा लेख्ने भट्टराईले यस पटक भने कथा टिप्न मधेस पुगेका छन्। 
‘इजोरिया’ मैथिली शब्द हो। यसको अर्थ जुनेली हो।
